Patient Representatives
As an integral part of the Administration of Coney Island Hospital, the Patient Relations Department offers attentive and caring services to ensure that patients receive everything they need throughout their visit. Upon admission to the hospital, each patient will receive a visit from a Patient Representative, who will explain Patient Rights and Advance Directives as well as how to contact a Patient Representative at any time. It is extremely important for our patients to always feel comfortable about the care they are receiving and the Patient Representatives will do everything in their power to create a supportive environment in which all patients can feel at home during their stay. The Patient Relations Department helps build a bridge between the patient and the clinical and administrative staffs to open the lines of communications while encouraging patients to speak up about their needs, questions, comments, or concerns about the care they are receiving, the staff they are interacting with, or anything at all involving their time at Coney Island Hospital. Patient Representatives always make patient satisfaction their top priority and work diligently to make sure that our patients and their families are more than gratified with their stay. The Patient Representatives serve as advocates who work on behalf of our patients and their families to clarify any uncertainties, resolve any issues that may arise, and create a comforting atmosphere that will allow everyone to work together for the safety and well-being of our patients. They are compassionate people who dedicate themselves to providing each patient with a wonderful experience, which is why you can always count on the Patient Relations Department during your time at Coney Island Hospital.
